American Airlines recently applied to the U.S. Department of Transportation for the authority to fly nonstop from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Beijing, China, beginning March 2007. Three other airlines have also submitted an application for an additional China flight, but only one U.S. airline will be awarded the right to add a daily flight to and from China.
